Now we are eight. Our little firefly,
Tessa Amandeline Saguyod Counter, joined our family at 8:26 am on September 13, 2021.
It was an honor to have cared for Irish during her pregnancy and then to witness her becoming a mother, and my son becoming a father. It was an even greater honor to finally learn baby's name.
Her middle name is a combination of mine and Irish's mother's (Jacqueline).
Tiny Tessa immediately stole all of our hearts. It is bittersweet to love someone as fiercely as your own child, but not be able to spend every moment with her.
